American Axle to build tech center at Michigan headquarters
American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc. has announced plans to invest about $20 million in its Detroit headquarters to add a technical center.
The facility, which will be used to produce prototypes and test manufacturing lines, is expected to employ 75 to 100 people. Construction is scheduled to start in fall 2014.
