Central States Mfg. to build facility in South Dakota

Lowell, Ark.-based Central States Mfg., a manufacturer and distributor of metal building products, plans to expand its operations to Hartford, S.D.

The company plans to construct a 40,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility on a 10-acre plot. The expansion will create up to 40 jobs in the next three years, making the company the largest private employer in Hartford.

The company also has locations in Michigan City, Ind.; Cedar Hill, Texas; Jasper, Ala.; and Mount Airy, N.C.
