Cortec to expand Minnesota film extrusion facility

Cortec® Corp. has announced plans to expand its vapor phase, corrosion-inhibiting (VpCI®) film extrusion facility in Cambridge, Minn. Cortec Advanced Films (CAF) manufactures the recyclable films, which are used to protect metal parts and equipment from corrosion during storage and shipping.

The expansion will include the addition of a plastics recycling complex for CAF’s growing recycling program, as well as warehouse and office space. The office building will host a training center for employee and customer conferences.

The company also plans to modernize Line #21, its largest extrusion line, with a new die and air ring and winder.
