Eagle Bend Mfg. to begin $64 million expansion

Eagle Bend Mfg. Inc. has announced plans for a $64 million expansion of its Clinton, Tenn., facility. The company, a division of Magna Intl. Inc., is a Tier 1 automotive parts supplier for OEMs of cars and light trucks worldwide.

The expansion will add more than 100,000 sq. ft. to the current 334,000-sq.-ft. plant. The project will occur in phases over the next five years. It is expected to create 188 new jobs, including assembly, laser and press operators, and maintenance positions. The facility currently employs more than 600 people.
