Forecast 3D celebrates 20 years in business
Forecast 3D, a Carlsbad, Calif.-based 3-D printing and short-run manufacturing service provider, marks its 20th anniversary.
In 1994 co-founders and brothers Corey and Donovan Weber started the business in their garage with a single stereolithography 3-D printer. They built prototypes and short-run parts for a handful of customers. Today the company resides in a 42,500-sq.-ft. facility with eight of the latest additive manufacturing technologies servicing engineers across North America.
The company currently offers stereolithography (SLA), fused deposition modeling (FDM), PolyJET high-precision color 3-D printing, direct metal laser sintering (DMLS), selective laser sintering (SLS), CNC machining, and RTV tooling.
