Kennametal appoints CEO

Kennametal Inc., Pittsburgh, has appointed board member Ronald M. DeFeo as president/CEO. He replaces Donald Nolan, who has left the company to pursue other interests after serving as president/CEO since November 2014.

A Kennametal board member since 2001, DeFeo previously served as the chairman of the board and CEO of Terex Corp. Before that, he was senior vice president of J.I. Case Co. and managing director of Case Construction Equipment. He began his career in 1974 at Procter & Gamble in marketing and brand management. DeFeo holds a bachelor's degree in economics and philosophy from Iona College.
