Manufacturing Day welcomes Silver and Bronze Sponsors for 2015
- April 3, 2015
- News Release
- Shop Management
The roster of Manufacturing DaySM 2015 sponsors recently grew by three: the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) and the Precision Machined Products Association (PMPA) have renewed their Silver sponsorships for a third consecutive year, and Women in Manufacturing (WiM) renewed its Bronze sponsorship for a third year.
Manufacturing Day sponsors provide the resources to support manufacturers participating in the program, a grassroots effort by U.S. manufacturers to improve public perception of manufacturing in America by coordinating awareness-raising activities at a variety of locations across the country on Oct. 2, 2015.
Manufacturing Day is an annual national event that brings together thousands of manufacturers to host students, teachers, parents, job seekers, and other local community members at open houses designed to showcase modern manufacturing technology and careers. Last year more than 1,650 events attracted over 350,000 participants.
Co-producers are the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association Intl. (FMA), the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the Manufacturing Institute (MI), the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), and guest producer Industrial Strength Marketing (ISM).
