Melitron appoints new president

Melitron Corp., a contract manufacturer of precision metal enclosures and mechanical and electronic assemblies in Guelph, Ont., has promoted Mike Turner to the position of president and CEO.

Formerly the company's vice president and general manager, Turner replaces Ted Turner, who founded the company and has served as president and CEO since 1995. Ted Turner assumes the position of chairman and continues to support the company as an executive adviser.

Melitron provides flexible manufacturing systems to OEMs in the aerospace, computing, datacom, energy/power, industrial, medical, security, and self-service industries. The company has two manufacturing facilities in Canada and a sales center in the U.S.
