Meridian names director of manufacturing

Meridian, Aberdeen, N.C., has named Chris Mele as director of manufacturing. He oversees design and engineering, full fabrication, and assembly and is responsible for ensuring all processes in those areas are ISO 9001:2008-compliant.

Mele has 24 years of experience working in a contract manufacturing environment involving metal fabrication and assembly. Before joining the company, he spent 11 years as general manager for Wilcoxson Mfg. and four years as engineering manager for Star Precision, both of which specialize in sheet metal fabrication.

Meridian is a kiosk manufacturer and software developer supporting the self-service industry. The company offers design, engineering, fabrication, assembly, integration, staging, deployment, and support services.
