Miller Mfg. acquires Allied Precision Industries

Miller Mfg. Co., Eagan, Minn., has purchased Allied Precision Industries Inc. (API), Elburn, Ill. According to Miller, the acquisition broadens and strengthens its offerings of farm, ranch, and pet products. Miller continues to market acquired products under the API product brand.

Miller will move production, inventory, ordering, shipping, and pickup operations to its facility in Glencoe, Minn., and to its sister company Plastech Corp.’s facilities in Rush City, Minn. In the interim, API will continue to manage all activities for the business.

“With the addition of these product lines, we expect to extend job offers to some API employees for relocation to our Glencoe facility,” said Dan Ferrise, CEO of Miller. “Overall we expect to add up to 30 new jobs as a result of this acquisition.”
