Nippon Sharyo Mfg. opens facility in Illinois
Nippon Sharyo Mfg. LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nippon Sharyo U.S.A. Inc., has begun operations at its new passenger railcar production facility in Rochelle, Ill.
The plant employs 140 workers currently. In 2013 the company plans to increase the workforce to nearly 300 when the in-house manufacturing of stainless steel car body shells is in full operation.
