Plex Systems acquires DemandCaster
Detroit-based Plex Systems, a provider of cloud ERP for manufacturing, has announced the acquisition of DemandCaster, a provider of cloud-based supply chain planning (SCP) systems. As a result of the acquisition, the Plex Manufacturing Cloud now delivers a suite of cloud applications for running manufacturing enterprises, from ERP and SCP to MES.
The company also offers Connected Manufacturing, linking the manufacturing shop floor directly to both SCP and ERP, as well as suppliers and customers; master production scheduling (MPS); sales and operations planning (S&OP); demand planning; distribution requirements planning (DRP); capacity planning; inventory planning; and optimization.
Data for manufacturing planning is leveraged from the shop floor, the enterprise, suppliers, and customers for new supply chain analytics in the IntelliPlex suite.
