Shimifrez opens new Ontario facility

Shimifrez Inc. has opened a new photochemical machining and electroforming facility in Vaughn, Ont. The $750,000 expansion is expected to create eight jobs.

The company uses precision photochemical etching to produce complex, flat metal parts for prototyping and quantity production for such industries as medical, telecommunications, and microelectronics. The firm can make parts from 0.02 by 0.02 in. with feature sizes less than 15 microns.
