Tubelite expands Michigan manufacturing facilities

Tubelite Inc. has invested in structural expansions and production enhancements at its facilities in Walker and Reed City, Mich.

At the Walker facility, the company added more than 43,000 sq. ft., significantly expanding its shipping area. Structural and logistical improvements are being completed in the warehousing and distribution areas. Future improvements are planned for the assembly area.

At the Reed City location, processing equipment upgrades have nearly doubled the aluminum extrusion press capacity.

Lean manufacturing principles have been applied at both locations to help optimize work flow and performance.

Tubelite manufactures standard, modified, and customized architectural aluminum products including entrance systems, windows, storefront, curtainwall, and daylight control systems. All of these are manufactured using EcoLuminum™, a high-recycled-content aluminum billet composition featuring environmentally friendly, durable finishes. Thermal barriers and high-performance glass help optimize the products' energy efficiency.
