WFW Industries wins San Diego Business Journal’s 2015 Manufacturing Award

WFW Industries, a U.S. veteran-run provider of manufacturing, welding/fabrication, machinery repair, and customized training, has received the San Diego Business Journal’s 2015 Manufacturing Award for “Best Community Service.”

The inaugural program honors companies and individuals in the manufacturing industry that have a strong presence in San Diego’s local economy and continuously show dedication to the community.

Profits from WFW Industries support Workshops for Warriors, a nonprofit that provides veterans and injured vets with training in CNC machining, CAD/CAM programming, and welding.

“We take pride in our mission to make a difference in the lives of those who served and prepare veterans and wounded warriors for advanced manufacturing careers,” said Hernàn Luis y Prado, founder of WFW Industries. “There’s a great demand for skilled manufacturers in the U.S., and our goal is to help [veterans] have an easier time in transition.”
