AP&T approves fire-resistant hydraulic oil for press hardening

AP&T has announced its approval of Quaker's QUINTOLUBRIC® 888 fire-resistant hydraulic oil for use in its presses.

The company has tested the synthetic oil in its press hardening lines to determine its effect on hydraulic components and gaskets.

"The oil works at least as well in our lines as conventional hydraulic oil, and it also has superior qualities in terms of fire safety and the environment. As a result, this is the option we recommend that our customers use," said Patrik Haglund, product manager for presses at AP&T.
