Shiloh Industries announces planned aluminum casting plant in China

Shiloh Industries Inc., a provider of first-operation blanks, engineered welded blanks, complex stampings, modular assemblies, and highly engineered aluminum and magnesium die-cast and machined components, has announced plans to open a new aluminum casting plant in Nantong, China, in a joint venture with Suzhou Sanji Foundry Equipment Co. Ltd. Shiloh is the majority shareholder with 55 percent equity.

The plant will manufacture the company's family of aluminum CastLight™ products using high-pressure die casting and proprietary squeeze casting from 500 to 3,000 tons. The $30 million facility also will offer heat-treating and precision machining operations. It is expected to open in mid-2016, employing 130 people at capacity.
