TCT commissions new 64-in.-wide slitter

TCT Stainless Steel Inc., a metal service center in Lebanon, Tenn., has commissioned a 64-in.-wide, heavy-gauge EMAG slitter. This line can slit 0.035 to 0.3125 ga. Maximum coil weight is 40,000 lbs., with a maximum 72-in.-OD uncoiler/recoiler. The line includes an Alcos eight-position carousel packing line.

The new line joins an existing 20-in. Stanat light-gauge slitter that handles 0.005 ga., as well as four other slitters, a rolling mill, an edger, and cut-to-length capabilities.
