Mahr Federal’s Alex Tabenkin receives ASME 2014 Dedicated Service Award

Providence, R.I.-based Mahr Federal's Alexander N. Tabenkin has received the ASME 2014 Dedicated Service Award for Standardization and Testing. He was recognized for his outstanding service to the society, based on his contributions and dedication spanning more than 23 years in the field of surface metrology.

Tabenkin is a graduate of the Machine Tool Institute, Moscow. He served as product manager, geometry and surface gauging products, for Mahr Federal since 1977, and then consultant with Mahr Federal until retiring in 2008. In addition to writing many technical articles and several metrology books, he has participated in dozens of seminars and conferences and is a member of the ASME B46 Committee on Surface Finish and the ISO TC-57 Committee for Metrology and Properties of Surfaces.
