Met-L-Flo adds 3-D scanning arm to Illinois facility

Met-L-Flo Inc., a provider of 3-D printing, additive manufacturing, and bridge tooling, has added a Romer 3-D scanning arm to its facility in Sugar Grove, Ill.

The scanning device can measure any type of part with minimal alterations, regardless of the material or shape. The touch probe component of the arm provides CMM measurements from two points on a part based on where contact is made. The PolyWorks software option helps simplify measurement reading.
