Miller Electric Mfg. Co. has added a new line of industrial gloves to its Arc Armor™ welding protection products. The gloves are designed to endure long-term, repetitive abuse while providing comfort and dexterity, the company reports.
Glove design is segmented into three categories: pattern, material usage, and lining. Each glove features a 3-D pattern designed to fit the natural contours of the human hand. Multiple types and grades of leather are available for various applications. The linings help improve protection and comfort.
Four glove styles are available for different welding applications:
- The heavy-duty GMAW/SMAW glove has aluminized insulation to reflect heat and a reinforced thumb and palm design for comfort.
- The GMAW glove has a precurved, form-fitting pattern conforming to the natural shape of the hand. Moisture-wicking cotton fleece lining provides additional protection.
- The GMAW glove with extended cuff is the same as the GMAW glove and features an additional 9-in. extended cuff to provide more protection.
- The GTAW glove has an unlined pigskin leather palm for dexterity and resistance to cuts and abrasion, as well as a reinforced palm patch.
