Press manually installs self-clinching fasteners

May 8, 2007

The PEMSERTER® Series 4® manual press can install self-clinching fasteners in applications in which automated systems would be impractical.

The pneumatic-powered press uses shop air. An 18-in. (45.7 cm) throat depth provides clearance for a variety of chassis configurations. The press has quick tooling changeover capabilities and point-of-operation safety features.

The press can permanently install self-clinching nuts, studs, and standoffs in steel (fastener sizes up to 3/8 in. and M2 through M10) and in aluminum panels or circuit boards (fastener sizes up to in. and M12). The insertion force is adjustable from 400 lbs. (1.8 kN) to 6 tons (53.4 kN).

Available options include turret anvils and anvil holders.
