Compact robot suited for limited-space applications

Comau has introduced the Racer 999 6-axis, articulated robot. With a reach of just less than 1 m (999 mm), the robot is suitable for applications in a limited space, including assembly, handling, machine tooling, and packaging.

Designed for a payload of about 15 lbs., the robot can carry up to 22 lbs. with a limited excursion of the 5th axis for high-speed pick-and-place. It can be mounted on the floor, wall, or ceiling or on inclined supports.

E-motion software helps optimize the robot’s movements to reduce cycle times by up to 25 percent compared to the previous-generation robot.
