Leak detectors cool water in resistance welding cells

February 7, 2006

Rocon LLC's DeltaPoint™ series leak detectors cool water in resistance welding cells. The nonmechanical instruments provide flow comparisons, detect tip loss, and monitor flow temperature in applications involving up to 13 welding guns, robotic workcells, and nonrobotic hard tooling.

The leak detectors have a pair of vortex-shedding flowmeters that the company says require minimal maintenance are not affected by dirt in water, and have no moving parts. The flowmeters are bench-calibrated to increase reliability by minimizing the possibility of nuisance tripping.

The leak detectors have a cooling flow range capability of 12 GPM and require no setup, operate on AC or DC power, and provide SSR or DeviceNet fault outputs.
