Stand-alone robotic welding cell suitable for both short-run, large-scale production

January 15, 2008

Marathon Welding Automation offers the Mini-Z personal weld cell as a stand-alone option for short-run shops, or it can be integrated into large-scale production manufacturing operations.

With its small footprint, the weld cell is mobile and accessible for tooling changeover. Shipped assembled and ready for installation and production, it is a flexible alternative to manual welding, the company states.

The weld cell features a 24- by 16-in. work window, a Kawasaki robot, teach pendant controls, a Fronius weld control, 3-D weld path modeling, turnkey tooling/fixturing, and DeviceNet options.
