Sheet metal radius brake bends mild steel, aluminum

Van Sant Enterprises Inc. has introduced a sheet metal radius brake for forming radius bends in mild steel and aluminum. The apron swings outside the radius and rolls across the material, which helps minimize stress and cracking.

The machine includes five different radius bars (1/2, 1, 1-1/4, 1-1/2, and 2 in.) for bending different radii in sheet metal. It features 1/2-in. steel plate construction, powder-coated components, 6-ft./16-ga. capacity, quick tooling change, and radius roll storage on the machine.
