Press brake software facilitates part design, importation

SigmaTEK Systems LLC has added press brake software to its NC programming software lineup.
With the software, a user can design a part from scratch or import it from any CAD software. The process then can be simulated for verification of proper programming, tool setup, and machine specifications.
The NC code produced by the software is compatible with several types of press brakes, and the software's dialogue boxes aim to improve operator and machine efficiency.
Other features include parametric design tools that produce 3-D part models that can be edited and unfolded to produce 2-D flat patterns for export to other CAD systems.
