Hard automation machine torches mount remotely, directly
D/F Machine Specialties offers automatic, water-cooled-to-the-tip, 850-amp, continuous-duty-cycle machine barrels for automatic single-arc welding systems. These torches receive their utilities at 90 degrees to allow direct mounting. They are designed to deposit weld metal at fast travel speeds, according to the company.
The barrels are available in 9.250- and 12.250-in. lengths; each is available with standard-size nozzles (0.4375- through 0.75-in.-ID gas cups) and high-capacity nozzles (0.6875- through 1-in.-ID gas cups). Mounting extensions are available for more length and reach.
The barrels can run stainless steel, INCONEL® alloy, and aluminum wires through 0.125 in., and hard/cored wires through 0.15625 in.
