Conveyor has perforated bedplate option
- March 11, 2008
- Product Release
- Materials Handling
Dorner's 2200 series conveyor, designed for light- and medium-duty applications, now is available with an optional perforated bedplate for cooling and draining applications.
The bedplate is suitable for applications in which the product needs to be cooled. Premanufactured holes allow air to flow through the conveyor frame and bedplate, cooling product as it passes. The conveyor also can be connected to a vacuum to supply additional air through the bedplate.
For applications that require liquid to be sprayed on passing items, or those that carry damp items, the holes allow moisture to drip through the modular plastic belt and bedplate without collecting inside the frame. The bedplate is available on the company's conveyors that are at least 12 in. wide.
The conveyor is designed to fit in tight spaces and is suitable for conveying, streamlined machine interface, small-part transfer, accumulation, high temperatures, and sharp parts. It is available with belt widths from 1.75 in. to 24 in. and conveyor lengths from 18 in. to 18 ft.
