Abrasive discs employ heavy-duty surface conditioning material

The new series 6924 heavy-duty surface conditioning material (HD SCM) from sia Abrasives Inc. USA is available in both coarse and medium grades for all standard-sized discs from 2 to 9 in., custom disc sizes and configurations, and belts.
Internal testing shows the discs produce 30 to 50 percent more cut in the first minute than competitive discs, according to the manufacturer, with 40 to 100 percent overall higher stock removal levels over a 10-min. period.
The discs are suitable for weld blending, removing deep grinding lines, cleaning, finishing, and deburring. They are color-coded to help ensure proper material selection.
