Black oxide finishing line designed for entry-level users

Birchwood Technologies has introduced the entry-level BC40E TruTemp finishing system. The seven-tank process line, with full black oxide capabilities, comes with tank system, heaters, plumbing connections, tank lids, and chemical products.

The system is pre-engineered to set up quickly and operate safely, says the company. Each of the seven individual tanks measures 16 by 24 by 24 in., occupying a footprint of 3 by 13 ft. They are manufactured of heavyweight, high-density polypropylene and polyethylene.

The line often can be operated by workers in adjoining CNC, screw machine, and parts washer cells without adding new employees. The process uses no EPA-regulated chemicals, so there is no need for waste treatment.
