Weiler Corp.'s line of Vortec Pro® bonded abrasive products are designed for general-purpose grinding and cutting applications on steel, iron, and other ferrous metals. Reinforced with fiberglass webbing for stability, all products are resin bond-formulated for aggressive stock removal and fast cutting, the company reports.

Type 27 grinding products, from 4 to 7 in. dia., are available in 0.25-in. thickness for grinding and 0.125-in. thickness for light grinding or cutting. Type 27 cutting wheels are offered in 0.045-, 0.060-, and 0.094-in. thicknesses in diameters from 4 to 7 in. Suitable for use on right-angle grinders, both the grinding and cutting wheels are available in aluminum oxide grain with an option of a 5/8-11 hub.

Type 1 cutting wheels are available from 2 to 7 in. dia. in various grit sizes, thicknesses, and aluminum oxide abrasive grain. A metal ring around the hub adds strength and stability. The wheels are used on right-angle grinders, electric or air die grinders, toolroom grinders, and circular saws.
