Deburring, edge-rounding machines remove burrs up to 0.12 in.

Arku Coil Systems Inc. has introduced deburring and edge-rounding machines for use on metal parts that have been punched or cut by laser, plasma, or flame.

The EdgeBreaker® can remove thick slag and heavy burrs up to 0.12 in. on parts up to 3.15 in. thick and 51.18 in. wide. The machine can process parts of steel, copper, various alloys, aluminum, and titanium. Its oscillating roller self-cleans residue from the grinding belt, while sanding blocks round the edges on both sides.

The EdgeRacer® is made for thinner parts up to 1.97 in. thick. Made by Germany-based Wöhler and sold exclusively by Arku, the machine can remove oxide layers and handle 3-D parts or those with polished, brushed, or coated surfaces. Two machine styles provide single- or double-sided deburring and rounding.
