Multiposition backstand grinder comes with removable platen

The Kalamazoo Industries model BG142 backstand belt grinder has been added to the company’s standard line of grinders. It offers multiposition contact from vertical to horizontal and full work movement from left to right. The unit is designed for aggressive grinding and beveling with the platen in place; when the platen is removed, the narrow belt allows slack-belt grinding and finishing of tight-inside-radii parts.

The grinder features a 1- by 42-in. grinding belt with 6- by 2-in. serrated, 70-duro contact wheel and a 1-3/4- by 4-in. worktable. The ½-HP, single-phase, 110-V TEFC motor delivers 5,400-SFPM surface speed.
