Process line produces true black magnetite finish

Birchwood Casey's BC40 TRU TEMP® finishing system utilizes a seven-tank process line and patented two-step chemistry for producing a true black magnetite finish of 0.000020-in. thickness on iron and steel components.

The system operates at 200 degrees F, helping to eliminate splattering and boil-over hazards. No EPA-regulated chemicals are used, so no waste treatment equipment is necessary. The system uses seven tanks measuring 16 by 24 by 24 in. deep with a footprint of 3 by 15 ft. Tanks are constructed of either 10-ga. welded steel (epoxy painted) or -in. welded polypropylene. They are supplied with all needed heaters and plumbing connections.
