Direct-drive gantry system simplifies laser system calibration

Kern Laser Systems has announced upgrades to its HSE line of large-format, 400-W CO2 laser systems.

A new direct-drive gantry system has been added that simplifies the calibration and maintenance schedule, according to the manufacturer. The upgraded height-following system is three times faster than previous models, the company states.

The laser systems can cut stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum.
