Conveyor/filtration system made for entry-level machining centers

Jorgensen Conveyors Inc. has introduced the EcoFilter® conveyor and filtration system for entry-level and midpriced turning and machining centers.

It uses a two-stage metal chip removal and coolant filtration design: a hinged steel belt conveyor removes large chips, while a flow-through wedgewire filter cell separates fines from the coolant in a secondary process.

Brushes wipe the fines from the surface of the wedgewire, allowing them to flow to the bottom of the conveyor. The conveyor belt’s cleats scrape them around and up the incline for discharge.
