Horizontal CNC lathe produces minimal vibration

Okuma has introduced the HJ-250E horizontal CNC lathe featuring a FANUC control. Built on a one-piece cast-iron base with a horizontal way system and hand-scraped headstock and tailstock mounting surfaces, the machine provides stability, rigidity, and accuracy for a variety of applications, the company reports.

A gearless spindle helps reduce vibration and heat to minimize thermal deformation.
