Murata Machinery USA Inc. offers two new turning machines.

The MW120GTEX is a redesign of the MW120GT twin-spindle CNC chucker. The new turning center features a high-accuracy spindle for tight tolerance requirements. The Z-axis ball screw is centered to help improve accuracy, and an X-axis box guideway gives the machine added rigidity. Its two-piece turret coupling increases accuracy, while the twin independent gantries deliver rapid throughput, says the manufacturer.

The MW80GT high-speed, 6,000-RPM dual-spindle turning machine is designed to produce high-speed parts that are 3.15 in. dia. and 1.97 in. long. It features a wide gang tool platform, an X-axis stroke of 12.6 in., and a Z-axis stroke of 7.87 in.
