Hydraulic winch lifts 65,000 lbs

Bloom Mfg. Inc. has introduced the new LS80K Lift-Safe® planetary winch with a 65,000-lb. lifting capacity. The modularly constructed unit can be adapted to specific drum sizes and cable holding requirements. In addition, it can be ordered with grooved drums, as well as special drum lengths and diameters.
The patented Duet-Safe® double-action braking system combines a hydraulic brake with a hydraulic braking valve to hold loads automatically when hydraulic pressure is released and to control speeds during lowering operations.
The winch's 5.125-in.-dia., heat-treated alloy steel drum shaft is supported on both ends with heavy-duty, lubricated bearings.
