Oval suction cups designed for sheet metal handling applications

Fipa Inc. has introduced two new series of oval suction cups for sheet metal handling. The SM-OF (flat) and SM-OB (bellows) series provide slip-free handling of dry and oily metal sheets in a variety of automotive, metal processing, and mechanical and plant engineering applications.

Suitable for use in constricted spaces, the suction cups are designed with multipart, antislip cleats and antislip supporting ribs that provide slip resistance, absorb shear forces, and prevent thin-sheet deformation.

According to the company, oval cups deliver greater suction force than round cups of equal width.
