Robotic system unloads, racks mixed series automotive panels

High Production Technology offers its RapidRacking™ system, a vision-guided robotic system for unloading and racking a mixed series of automotive panels.

To unload a formed part, the racking system indexes three times and positions the part underneath the cameras stationed at the conveyors. The information then is fed to the robots, where the program tells them how they need to adjust their position. The robot makes the necessary adjustments, picks up the part, and loads it into the rack.
