System offers plasma, oxyfuel cutting, scribing, drilling capabilities

Plasma Automation Inc. introduces the VICON Elite, a multifunctional processing system that offers users precision plasma and oxyfuel cutting, scribing and drilling capabilities.

The specially designed gantry enables the use of various standard and/or precision plasma power supplies, as well as oxyfuel cutting heads, scribing tools, and drill heads. Rugged high-speed dual drives enable the system to traverse in excess of 2,000 IPM while continuing to provide positioning and cornering accuracies, even at maximum torch cutting speeds, the company says.

Proximity switches and fiber optic communication cables allow for enhanced performance for the life of the machine. ViSoft cutting software enables the machine to produce quality parts with desired edge quality and part accuracy on both corners and holes.
