Plasma cutters feature ergonomically designed torch

Spectrum® X-TREME™ plasma cutters with XT torch from Miller Electric Mfg. Co. have been re-engineered to deliver more power.

The torch features an ergonomic design with a thumb guide, finger grip contours, and no-slip grip. The 80-degree handle provides natural arm and elbow positioning while cutting, and a flexible cable helps increase comfort, the company states.

The new electrode provides concentricity, smooth movement, better cutting performance, and increased life, according to the manufacturer. The 30-amp drag shield helps increase tip life and simplify template cutting. By converting the deflector and holding a 0.0625-in. stand-off, users will gain arc visibility while cutting with no additional consumables to change. The retaining cup includes a quick-turn feature.
