Angle grinder/cutoff machine has enhanced safety features

Metabo Corp. has introduced the WEP14-150 Quick 6-in. angle grinder/cutoff machine.

The unit's nonlocking paddle switch helps to increase user safety by automatically turning off the grinder when dropped. The design positions the user's hand away from the grinding wheel.

The tacho-constamatic (TC) speed stabilization feature enables the grinder to work at nearly 100 percent of the no-load speed of 9,000 RPM up to its full rated 12-amp load. The unit is also equipped with the Quick wheel change system that allows for toolless wheel changes.

Other features include safety clutch, Vibratech antivibration handle, and overload protection.
