Software assesses, manages vibration exposure

May 9, 2006

The HVManager™ human vibration meter software from Larson Davis assesses and manages vibration exposure. It is designed to provide instant tool assessments to all new standards, including the HSE recommended points system, EU physical agents directive 2002/44/EC, ISO 5349, and ISO 2631.

Data can be downloaded from the unit to a tool database with the graphic user interface (GUI). This permits vibrating-equipment users and manufacturers to create databases of vibration meter measurements for hand-arm and whole-body vibration. Daily vibration exposure for a worker using multiple tools for varying activities can be generated in a single report.

The meter helps employers ensure legal compliance with vibration equipment exposure, enables exposure analysis in different scenarios, and optimizes work procedures.
