Circular cold saw cuts aluminum, nonferrous materials

Behringer Saws Inc. has introduced the VA-L 500 fully automatic circular cold saw, designed for production cutting of solids and thin-walled pipe and profiles made of aluminum and nonferrous materials.

Features include a frequency-controlled main drive system; adjustable cutting speeds; a 32-HP, frequency-controlled drive motor with 800- to 3,400-RPM speed; and a servo-driven downfeed with an adjustable rate from 0.39 to 19.6 IPS.

Cutting range is 6.0 in. for round materials or 6 by 6 in. for square materials at 90 degrees using a carbide-tipped circular saw blade with a diameter of 19.6 in. An automatic blade/material separation feature allows free return of the saw blade to help reduce blade damage.
