Compact saw designed for heavy-duty applications

The new KKS 500 series saw from framag combines a compact design with a heavyweight frame for use in heavy industry and forging applications. The hydraulic pipework and electrical cables are integrated in the machine bed for protection from damage. The remaining machine components are simple to access and maintain.

Billet support from below and horizontal and vertical tensioning provide three-point tensioning and help increase output of curved billets. Chips are deflected by guide plates to the integrated chip conveyor.

Self-centering saw blade damping helps minimize the cut gap. The saw blade drive has an output of 45 kW, enabling cutting speeds up to 1,312 MPM. Depending on the saw blade, the machine can be used to cut materials from nonalloy construction steels to high-alloy special steels and stainless steel.

The modular design of the machine makes it expandable and adaptable to the given requirements with infeed and outfeed periphery equipment.
