Cutoff wheel designed for use with hard, heavy-gauge metals

Metabo Corp. has expanded its Choice Cuts™ line of job-matched cutoff wheels with an aluminum oxide type 1 cut-off wheel for use with hard and heavy-gauge metals, such as stainless and abrasion-resistant steels, high-tensile alloys, chrome, and HASTELLOY®.

Available in 4 ½-in. and 6-in. versions, the new Super-Slicer wheel is a 0.045-in.-thick, rigid cutting wheel coated with a blended, high-performance grain that provides an up to 300 percent increase in wheel life over previous blends, the company says. The wheels are formulated to leave no contaminants behind, such as sulfur, carbon, and chlorine. An enhanced design helps to reduce tool vibration during operation.
