Trilogy Machinery Inc. has announced the recent sale of a Sunrise XY CNC ironworker. The 180-ton machine with 30-in. plate shear and 8-in. angle shear features a hydraulic plate shear hold-down, hydraulic punch stripper, pendant control, and interchangeable die blocks for up to 4 in.

A semiautomatic CNC plate and angle positioning system is available as a factory-installed option on ironworkers with a 20-in. or larger throat depth. It features dual 400-W servomotors, ball transfers, 590-IPM variable positioning speed, and ┬▒0.002-in. accuracy. The positioning system also features ball-bearing linear guideways on either side of the table to help ensure parallelism.

CNC operation and programming are controlled with a pendant-mounted graphical control. The operator positions the plate against the CNC X and Y stops and initiates the punch program.
